Volvo has announced the availability of Polestar Performance Optimization for its flagship seven-seat XC90 SUV.
The performance parts are expected to enhance the car by making it more dynamic and responsive to drive.
Polestar will optimize engine performance, throttle response, gearshift speed, gearshift precision and off-throttle response of the car.
The upgrade packs can be applied to D5 diesel and T6 petrol powertrains on XC90 which will help the D5 diesel variant of the car to gets an extra 7bhp and enhanced torque to 500Nm.
The T6 petrol variant will also be able to produce 330bhp with the optimization, and will generate 440Nm of torque.
With the optimization XC90's gearshift speed will increase, which will help the car to accelerate faster and react to drivers commands in a better way.
According to Volvo, all the optimizations are made with certified emissions, fuel consumption, service intervals and Volvo warranties provided will not change.
Polestar racing and development driver Robert Dahlgren said: "Drivability is everything in racing; it is about having power available when you need it and to be in control.
"It is the very same thing when driving a road car actively, making this an essential part of what we have created with the new Polestar optimization."
