German developer and supplier of color management software solutions GMG will demonstrate the OpenColor packaging proofing solution at Northprint & Pack 2013 to be held from 14 to 16 May 2013 at Harrogate, UK.
GMG OpenColor is a spot color tool for the packaging market with better color control and repeatability.
The solution can analyze ink behavior in relation to the substrate's colorimetric properties, resulting in a profiling and calibration application that delivers spot color overprint simulation and the interplay between colors and process inks.
GMG UK managing director Toby Burnett said OpenColor has been designed to produce accurate digital proofs for printers using spot colors without the overhead of press fingerprinting.
"This groundbreaking application is well placed to serve the packaging industry and we see Northprint & Pack as an excellent platform for GMG to showcase the latest addition to our product portfolio," Burnett said.
