Suzuki has taken the wraps off its compact SUV Vitara at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, which the company claims, has been derived from its other flagship Jimny, Vitara and Grand Vitara.
The new car is 1,755mm taller and 4,175mm wider than its predecessor with enhanced safety, driving and design features.
The SUV will be available in two engine options - M16A (1.6L petrol) engine and D16AA (1.6L diesel) engine - both capable of producing up to 118 horsepower.
The interiors feature full-width contrasting trim piece on the instrument panel, round air vents, and panoramic roof with two sliding panels.
For safety, the company has added Adaptive Cruise Control, Radar Brake Support, and automatic emergency braking System along with seven airbags.
Suzuki executive vice president Toshihiro Suzuki said: "Suzuki had introduced VITARA and GRAND VITARA as the pioneer of the compact SUV.
"We believe that the new VITARA will fascinate not only the VITARA series fans, but also all customers interested in SUV, as a new generation SUV."
SUV Vitara will be produced at Suzuki's Hungarian subsidiary, Magyar Suzuki Corporation, and would be available commercially in 2015.
