Manufacturer of label and packaging paper Brigl & Bergmeister has commissioned Austria-based Andritz in order to build a film press at Papirnica Vevče in Vevče, Slovenia for the PM5.
This will enable Austia-based Brigl & Bergmeister to expand annual capacity at the Vevce site to 110,000t p.a., from the present 20,000t p.a.
The company said that through increase and improvement of the initial coat in the paper machine, it could offer better product quality and new solutions for the packaging industry.
Following Roxcel's acquisition of the company in 2011, this is Brigl & Bergmeister's second major investment.
It had earlier acquired the ENAGES thermal energy recovery plant, which supplies power to Brigl & Bergmeister's Austrian facility.
