Apogee Enterprises, parent company of Viracon, Harmon, Wausau Window and Wall Systems, Linetec, and Tubelite, announced that revenues for the fiscal third quarter were up 9 percent to $190.4 million. Operating income was $11.4 million, up from $7.2 million, and backlog was $300.4 million, compared to $299.0 million in the second quarter and $225.1 million in the prior-year period.
“We delivered a better than expected third quarter as our architectural segment successfully executed a more favorable mix of complex work,” said Joseph Puishys, Apogee CEO, in a release.
“Regarding top-line growth, our outlook for [2013] is that revenues will grow 5 to 6 percent as we continue to outperform our end markets,“ he continued.
