UK-based supermarket chain Waitrose is set to launch a new dessert - Caramelised Banana and Raspberry Baked Alaska, under ‘Heston From Waitrose’ range.
According to the company, the new product is being launched for the Christmas season. It has been developed following the success of Heston From Waitrose Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding.
Caramelised Banana and Raspberry Baked Alaska is a new spin on the classic Baked Alaska. The core of the dessert is a raspberry parfait encased in dark chocolate surrounded by a caramelised banana parfait which is then wrapped in a light sponge.
The Heston From Waitrose Caramelised Banana and Raspberry Baked Alaska will be available in all branches in the freezer aisle from October 2012.
