Flint Group has acquired the remaining shares in Tintas Graficas Vencedor (TGV) from Corporacion Peruana de Productos Quimicos ('CPPQ').
The acquisition to fully own TGV will allow Flint Group to improve market position in the liquid packaging film & foil and water-based ink sector in Latin America's Andean region.
According to Flint, the acquisition will also help the company improve sales of narrow web, plate, and sheetfed inks in the region.
Flint Group CEO Antoine Fady said the acquisition continues in the company's strategy of developing a position in Latin America where it aims to be the print consumer supplier of choice to the packaging and printing industry.
"I am delighted to welcome the customers and employees of TGV to Flint Group and look forward to continuing to build the successful TGV business in Peru and its neighbouring markets," Fady added.
Flint Group Latin America president Adhemur Pilar said, "TGV will fit our regional strategy to grow packaging inks in Latam and provides us with a manufacturing structure to service global and local customers in the Andes region."
TGV, located in Peru, is a joint venture between Flint Group (49.95% Flint Group GmbH) and CPPQ. It manufactures and sells liquid packaging inks and is also responsible for the resale of narrow web, flexographic plates and sheetfed inks.
