US-based full-service packaging provider PaperWorks has announced increased environmental certifications for its Packaging Group, as part of its commitment to the environment and customers.
The company said that at all its packaging locations it will now offer FSC and SFI certification, FSC paperboard at its Paperboard Group mills, and FSC, SFI and PEFC products at its Paperboard Group converting sites.
PaperWorks corporate sustainability director Kyla Fisher said the company's role is to ensure that at no point in its process it will mix certified paper products with uncertified products.
"These certifications show consumers that the products they purchase have been assured for the best environmental and social management practices in forestry," Fisher said.
PaperWorks Industries has 17 North American locations and annual sales of $600m.
