X2Y has said Intel's chips infringed upon its technology.
Intel has won X2Y patent-infringement case after the US International Trade Commission (ITC) upheld findings to a judge that the company did not violate patents held by X2Y Attenuators.
Shaw had ruled earlier that Intel didn't violate the three patents and that two were invalid, however the commission modified the trade judge's patent terms without altering the judge's finding.
According to Bloomber an Intel spokesperson said: "We're gratified they upheld the judge's opinion and now we can focus on defending ourselves in federal court in Pennsylvania."
According to X2Y, the infringed patents covered technologies that manages electromagnetic interference which can harm electronics.
X2Y currently licenses its technology to Samsung Electronics.
