Kaplast, a manufacturer of plastic products specialising in added value returnable beverage and food packaging, will be integrated into the DS Smith Plastics Division’s Rigid Packaging Group.
Hans Van Der Looij, managing director of DS Smith-Plastics Rigid and Flexible Packaging European group, said: “The acquisition of Kaplast builds on our market leading position in Europe and will allow us to grow our injection moulded product offer in the region where we already have injection moulded and extruded plastic operations.”
Paul Baeyens, managing director of DS Smith Plastics, Injection Moulded Products, added: “Our shared niche markets will allow us to leverage our service offerings, combined experience, and industry knowledge. In addition, by combining the resources of both companies, we can better meet the needs of our clients as they grow and expand.”
