UK-based custom color producer Silvergate Plastics has announced the addition of the Leistritz Twin-Screw Extruder ZSE 27 Maxx to its existing production capabilities.
The new machine has a high torque and volume co-rotating twin-screws and is expected to bring increased throughput of up to 50%.
According to the company, the production line provides better outputs for small production runs and processing all kinds of polymer, pigment systems and additives.
Silvergate managing director Tony Bestall said 25% of the company's orders are being produced on the same day that they are received.
"Our customers expect the best product delivered in the fastest possible time. Our investment in equipment gives higher output and flexibility, allowing us to achieve this and more," Bestall said.
