Russian establishment RusCo is to use Innovia Films’ Propafilm RC to package its Amapola Chocolates.
The Propafilm RC films are transparent biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films coated on both sides with an aqueous acrylic dispersion.
This BOPP film with high clarity and low seal threshold is claimed to offer barrier against water vapour, flavours and aromas.
The Propafilm RC film is printable and is food grade approved.
RusCo official Nikolai Tagiyev said: "We fully tested this substrate during trials and the main benefits of the film for this application came through strongly - great machinability and excellent optical properties."
The film will be used to overwrap boxes of Amapola Chocolates, which were presented at Rosupack 2015 in Moscow.
