Packaging Dynamics has announced the acquisition of Groupe De Luxe, a Canadian manufacturer of flexible packaging products, for an undisclosed value.
Packaging Dynamics chief executive officer Roger Prevot said De Luxe will support its continuing growth with the addition of positions in new geographies, products and end-markets.
"The combination provides Packaging Dynamics with a number of strategic benefits including broader technical and manufacturing capabilities, a number of well respected brands, an expanded customer base and a more balanced manufacturing platform," Prevot said.
The company plans to use the expanded offerings and capabilities to address the needs of its customers across its entire flexible packaging business.
Groupe De Luxe, which manufactures packaging for food service, bakery, supermarket, confectionery, dairy and other applications, has facilities in Toronto, Chicago and Saugerties, New York.
A portfolio company of investment firm Kohlberg & Company, Packaging Dynamics provides solutions to customers in its three business units including BagcraftPapercon, International Converter, and Thilmany Papers.
