US-based UFP Technologies is set to introduce its new molded fiber (pulp) packaging solutions. The 100% recyclable fiber is made solely of newspaper and water.
Molded fiber has been recognized as the egg-carton material and is considered as a viable packaging material due to its sustainable nature.
According to UFP, the cost effective and environment-friendly fiber can be formed into robust packaging to provide blocking and bracing for products.
The company has used its manufacturing capabilities and design process to transform molded fiber into applications including retail packaging solutions for electronics, health & beauty products, medical instruments and other consumer goods.
UFP will feature its new product at Pack Expo International 2012 from 28 to 31 October in Chicago, Illinois, US.
