German automaker Volkswagen has unveiled a new version of the Taigun SUV concept at Auto Expo 2014 in New Delhi.
The new four-seat Taigun is equipped with a new 1.0L TSI engine. It offers combined fuel consumption of 4.7L/100 km (110 g/km CO2).
The TSI engine is a three-cylinder engine added with direct fuel injection plus turbo technology. It is lightweight and fuel-efficient offering maximum torque of 175Nm at a low 1500rpm.
Other features of the new SUV include a new rear design with an exterior-mounted spare wheel; trim parts added to the side sills, wheel arches and bumpers; and LED spotlights on the roof rails.
Earlier in January 2014, Volkswagen of America, a US-based arm of the German carmaker, has announced to introduce a production version of the Passat Performance Concept - 'Passat Sport', in early 2014.
