Sorin Group, a medical device company, has announced the approval and the commercial launch of the REPLY and ESPRIT families of pacemakers in China.
The REPLY and ESPRIT families have common attributes such as smallest devices, SMARTCHECK, a tool designed to simplify device checks by automating follow up tests.
Sorin Group China general manager Jerry Wang said Sorin delivers new therapies for the management of cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure patients.
"We are very proud to be able to bring the world's smallest pacemaker family to patients and physicians in China," Wang added.
The REPLY pacemakers offer the SafeR pacing mode, which monitors and promotes the patient's natural cardiac activity it maintains over 99% intrinsic conduction and has shown to eliminate unnecessary ventricular pacing.
The ESPRIT pacemakers include various algorithms designed for patient safety such as continuous lead impedance measurements, automatic adjustment of atrial and ventricular sensing, and ventricular autothreshold.
