The new Yaxley premise is located in the southern periphery of Petersborough. It is approximately 30 miles away from the company’s previous Biggleswade premises and is around 0.5 acres.
In the new building there are offices as well as a show room and training facilities. It also features a repair shop and a well assorted stock of spare parts.
“With the new building we took the opportunity to create an infrastructure suitable to provide optimum customer support. Training of our customers’ staff is growing more and more important. We therefore designed the ground floor in such a manner that theoretical training in the classrooms and practical instruction on the machine can take place within a short distance,” said Illig UK managing director Geoff Brooks.
The company also unveiled a new pressure forming machine at its opening event last month.
It is aimed at the trays and hinged packs market and the firm said that “up to 45 cycles per minute can be realised”.
