North American integrated packaging provider PaperWorks Industries (PWI) has announced price increases on all Masterworks CRB grades and Masterworks URB+.
The increase, which will be coming into effect with shipments as of 25 March 2013, will be applicable for MasterWorks grades of coated recycled boxboard by $40 per ton, and for MasterWorks URB+ uncoated recycled boxboard by $25 per ton.
According to the company, the increase is necessary to recover rising costs including raw materials, energy, chemicals, transportation, benefits and other expenses.
The company will continue to reduce the increases with ongoing cost savings initiatives besides providing availability and service for all its paperboard products.
PWI's Paperboard Group manufactures about 300,000t of 100% recycled paperboard annually for a variety of end uses.
