Packaging firm Ossid, powered by Pro Mach, will introduce a fully integrated packaging line at the upcoming 2014 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) scheduled to be held during 28-30 January 2014 at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The integrated packaging line will include an Ossid stretch overwrapper, a weigh-price labeler, a case scale, and an ID Technology 252 printer.
Ossid sales vice president Jason Angel said, "Poultry and meat industries attendees will discover that Ossid can provide a one-stop-shop solution for an integrated packaging line that delivers performance, reliability, durability, and production data integration."
The 500Si stretch overwrapper, which features a HMI supporting tool-free changeover between package sizes, can produce wrapped PVC case ready packaging at speeds of about 120 trays per minute.
Built with an open stainless steel frame, the overwrapper is said to be compatible with the harsh environments faced in poultry and meat packaging facilities, while using less space.
Ossid's 1500 series weigh price labeler is said to offer flexible label placement at the rate of about 120 trays per minute. It is also capable of acquiring data or process like productivity resulting in improvement of the overall equipment effectiveness tool.
The CS5000 case scale, which can weigh cases in range of +/- .02lbs, features connectivity to the Microsoft SQL Database that offers data integration and data transfer.
Additionally, the scale's ethernet network functionality is claimed to offer automatic order processing and tracking, remote user training, off-site maintenance and software upgrades.
ID Technology's Model 252 label printer applicator is said to be similar to the Model 250. Latest additions include a new touch screen user interface for easier programing, a redesigned rewind motor module that is hot swappable.
