Village Park Meats Recalls Batches of Its Vacuum Packed Cooked,and Sliced Meat Products

Village Park Meats is recalling batches of its vacuum packed, cooked, and sliced meat products in Scotland over safety issues.

The recall was initiated after an inspection revealed that the company failed to take adequate actions to prevent growth of Clostridium botulinum in the product.

The inspection found that an extended shelf-life was being applied to all the implicated products, although production records indicated a 10-day shelf-life.

Products subject to the recall include all vacuum packed, cooked, sliced meats of all sizes featuring batch codes: 291113, 301113, 011213, 021213, 031213, 041213, 051213, 061213, 071213, 081213, 091213, 101213, 111213.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) in Scotland has issued a product recall information notice.

Village Park Meats has withdrawn the affected batches and is informing the establishments that are supplied with those batches.

Those who have purchased the affected product have been advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
