Quaker Oats,a division of PepsiCo,has introduced Quaker Popped,a wholesome snack-time craving,in the US.
The company said that the Quaker Popped is made with whole grain brown rice and corn.It offers 10 to 13g of whole grain per serving and zero grams of trans fat.
The bite-sized snacks are popped,not fried,means lower fat compared to other fried snacks,the company said.
Quaker Foods North America chief marketing officer Justin Lambeth said the brand renamed its classic snack as Quaker Popped as it better reflects the way the product is made,popped to crispy perfection.
Quaker Popped packaging features a fun,new logo and a bright color scheme to reflect the flavors inside a bag including Cheddar Cheese,Caramel Corn and Apple Cinnamon.
The new flavors include new flavors Chipotle Cheddar and Sweet&Salty Mix.It is available at grocery stores across the US and is priced at$2.
