Raw Ecstasy is recalling its own-brand Wasabi flavoured MisoActivated Walnuts and Activated Almonds in the UK, as the products contain mustard seeds, which have not been mentioned on the label.The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an allergy alert and noted that the products are a potential health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to mustard.
The products being recalled are: all date codes of Raw Ecstasy Wasabi Miso flavoured Activated Walnuts, 70g, and Raw Ecstasy Wasabi Miso flavoured Activated Almonds, 70g.
Consumers who are allergic or intolerant to mustard have been asked not to consume the product. The products can be returned to the store for a full refund.
Raw Ecstasy is recalling the affected products from sale and will be re-labelling them with the correct information. Customer notices will be displayed in stores to inform consumers about the recall. The company will also be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal.
No other Raw Ecstasy products are known to be affected.
