Verdici has been selected to distribute ABK Bavarian Beer in Sweden.
The multi-year agreement with ROK Stars' ROK Drinks division will start with immediate effect.
The deal comes just a month after ROK Drinks announced its signing of several distributors in the US for pushing the sales of its ABK Beer brand.
ROK Stars chairman Jonathan Kendrick said, “Sweden is key to our global deployment plans for our beers which, for the first time since the brewery was founded in 1308, are available for global distribution."
The ABK Beer brand product range includes three beers – HELL, EDEL and ROSE.
ROK Stars had acquired a 55% majority interest in the 1308-established Aktien Brauerei brewery. The historic brewery, which is the maker of the ABK Beer brand, is located in Kaufbeuren in the German state of Bavaria.
Following the majority acquisition of ABK, ROK Drinks added ABK Beer in its portfolio and had re-designed and re-packaged its product line for international export.
Apart from ABK Beer, ROK Drinks’ portfolio includes Bogart’s Real English Gin, Bogart’s Vodka, ROK Natural Energy, ROK Water and Real Irish Whisky.
ABK Beer’s new Swedish distributor Verdici is a commodity training company with a beverage portfolio that includes Coca-Cola and Red Bull.
Mario Macri of Verdici said: “ABK greatly enhances our portfolio of products and we are excited to be the distributor who will bring the heritage and tradition of ABK Beer to the people of Sweden."
