Volkswagen has announced that it has found out the 2016 models affected by the CO2 issue which involves around 430,000 vehicles belonging to Audi, SEAT, Skoda and Volkswagen brands.
The company said that these vehicles have "implausible CO2 figures".
Volkswagen said that the vehicles identified used TSI or TFSI petrol or TDI diesel engines with 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0-litre capacities.
Some of the affected vehicles include Audi A1 Sportsback, Seat Leon Sport Tourer, Skoda Fabia, and Volkswagen Polo.
It also highlighted that the latest announcement is not a part of the previously declared 800,000 vehicles.
Volkswagen said that it found out about the latest issue during its own ongoing investigations and made the information public, and it has also informed about the issue to the authorities, along with importers and trading partners.
The company expects the CO2 figures to be determined under the supervision of the German Federal Vehicle and Transport Authority (KBA).
Volkswagen said: "Based on what is known at present, the Volkswagen Group continues to anticipate that this will be the previously communicated total figure of around 800,000 vehicles.
"The Volkswagen Group is in addition already in dialogue with the respective countries' financial and fiscal authorities so that all taxes arising in direct relation to the CO2 issue are charged straight to the Volkswagen Group and not to the customers."
