In a statement, Holfeld said that the acquisition creates “exciting opportunities for the continued development and expansion of both Holfeld Plastics and PPE. Our combined product range and merged technical resources enhancing our capacity to serve the needs of our existing and potential new market sectors”.
Holfeld is based in Ireland with a sales office in Burton on Trent. The company has a turnover of £20m with a workforce of 120. PPE is a thermoforming packaging manufacturer based in Milton Keynes and operates in the bakery, dairy and medical sectors.
Holfeld added that it the deal would help support on-going investment in R&D, materials technology and increased thermoforming capability.
