Cadillac, a luxury automobile and SUV division of US automaker General Motors (GM), has commenced the production of special-edition 2015 CTS-V Coupe.
The new vehicle represents the last chapter of the model with current V-Series engine as the next generation engine is scheduled to debut next year.
Special edition CTS-V Coupe will have same technology as its predecessors, which were built from 2010-2014 and included Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes and a supercharged V-8 engine delivering output of 556hp.
Cadillac Global chief marketing officer Uwe Ellinghaus said the V-Series continues to elevate the company, providing an exclusive family of high-performance luxury models that attract a new audience of elite and passionate buyers.
"The special edition is a stepping stone to the next-generation V-Series, which will move to the next level with more dynamic design and technical sophistication," Ellinghaus added.
Cadillac will manufacture 500 units of the 2015 CTS-V Coupe, which will be available during the second half of 2014.
Features of the 2015 special edition includes Ebony interior with red contrast stitching, Recaro performance seats, metal pedals, Midnight Sapele wood trim, microfiber suede-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dark-finish V grille, satin graphite wheels and red brake calipers.
