Carroll Shelby International's subsidiary Shelby American has raised the number of its Raptor muscle trucks being produced every year to meet the increasing demand.
The Raptor truck is based on the 2012-13 Ford SVT Raptor and was introduced at the New York International Auto Show in the US.
Raptor is powered by a 2.9L supercharger engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that generates an output of 575hp and comes with all four wheels drive (AWD).
Shelby American president John Luft said the orders started coming within a few minutes of its unveiling for the new Shelby Raptor.
"Before we accepted a single order to meet the landslide of requests, we decided to expand the number of muscle trucks available per model year," Luft added.
A leather interior and special graphics are part of the standard package of the vehicle, while its also features 35-inch all-terrain tires and custom wheels, suspension packages and three graphics choices.
