Indian company Goose has launched the new Goose ‘Tracker’, a new generation 2D serialization bar code for the drug industry. The tool integrates with existing applications to securely meet data management and printing needs for packaging and shipping labels.
The tool has authentication features that allow tracking of product throughout the distribution channel including warehouse to customer retail chain.
Goose founder & CEO Deb Pattnaik said the company's new scalable, online & offline solution handles the track and trace needs for all levels of packaging upto primary and e-pedigree conveniently.
"Goose Tracker is a simple and easy to configure Track & Trace solution for achieving bar coding on drug packaging as per the recent Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) regulation" Pattnaik said.
According to the pharma business re-engineering solutions company, the tool helps pharma companies with an alternative product serialization technology and incorporates several new changes to suit GS1 global traceability guidelines.
Goose Tracker creates, manages and tracks unique serial numbers that are printed on the tertiary, primary and secondary packages. It supports GS1 data matrix standards and helps in providing accurate detection of 2D on carton and optical character verification (OCV) of overprinting details on carton.
Goose is currently working with several government & non-government entities to include changes as and when they are announced.
