Volkswagen of America (VWoA), a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, has reported sales of 30,727 units in November 2013, compared to the sales of 36,727 units in the same period last year.
The luxury carmaker has also reported year-to-date sales of 373,689 units, compared to the sales of 394,128 units during the same period in 2012.
Volkswagen Group of America president and CEO Jonathan Browning said that they are confident that they will close out a second consecutive year with over 400,000 vehicles.
"Having doubled sales from 2009 and with the strong investments in North American investment plans, we are confident that we have a strong base for future growth," Browning added.
Founded in 1955, Volkswagen of America's operations in the US include research and development, parts and vehicle processing, parts distribution centers, sales, marketing and service offices, financial service centers, and its manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
It sells the Beetle, Beetle Convertible, Eos, Golf, Golf R, GTI, Jetta, Jetta SportWagen, Passat, CC, Tiguan, Touareg, and Routan vehicles in the US.
