Huhtamaki Plans to Invest $8.48m to Expand Its Operations at Hammond Facility in US

Global consumer packaging company Huhtamaki, a subsidiary of Finland-based Huhtamäki has announced plans to invest $8.48m to expand its operations at its Hammond facility in Indiana, US.

The production capabilities will be expanded to accommodate increased demand for the company's recycled paper products. Huhtamaki will purchase additional manufacturing equipment for its facility, as part of the project.

Huhtamaki Hammond plant manager Rich Blastic said the investment reflects the company's confidence in its facility.

"The company has made significant investments in our operations over the past four years and our past business success justifies this expansion," Blastic said.

Huhtamaki received a grant of up to $115,000 in conditional tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in this regard.
