H2M Beverages Receives Patent Approval

US-based H2M Beverages has announced that the company received patent approval for its new interactive dispensing cap technology.

H2M's two-piece cap has been designed to hold liquid or solid in an air-tight chamber, and releases its contents once unscrewed by the user. The capacity of the cap is 13g of liquid or powder.

The bottom portion is turned counter-clockwise to remove once the cap's content has been released, allowing access to the bottle's ingredients.

H2M CEO Charles Musumeci said the company sees potential use of its cap in the pharmaceutical arena, the spirits category and also with certain types of consumer goods.

"This cap enables 989 to deliver everything your body needs to rehydrate and nothing it doesn't: no sugar, no carbs. It's the best way for the body to utilize the nutrients," Musumeci said.

The H2M cap, which can be found on the company's rehydration beverage 989 On Demand, received its first design patent in 2010 on the upper section of the cap and the second design patent later in the same year for the lower section.
