Grupo Phoenix's subsidiary Phoenix Packaging Operations, which manufactures thermoformed rigid plastic packaging, has announced plans to expand its operations in Pulaski County, Virginia, US with an investment of $20m.
Phoenix Packaging Operations president and CEO Alberto Peisach said the company has decided to increase its production capabilities and bring additional jobs to Virginia with the continued support of Pulaski County and Governor McDonnell.
"With this expansion we continue to support the development and growth of a state and a county that, over the last two years since we established our presence, trusted Grupo Phoenix with carrying the vision of economic expansion and job creation," Peisach said.
McDonnell has approved a grant of $250,000 from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to help Pulaski County with the latest project.
Grupo Phoenix manufactures injection-molded plastic packaging, thermoformed products, foil lidding and extruded barrier packaging in Latin America.
