Consumer goods company Unilever is all set to unveil new compressed aerosol deodorant cans for the Sure, Dove and Vaseline brands, in a bid to make packaging greener.
According to Unilever, aerosol deodorants were introduced in late 1960s and the new 75ml small cans are a major packaging reduction initiative for them.
The cans use half the amount of propellant as the 150ml cans, 25% less aluminum and also occupy less space.
With the new cans, the company aims to reduce the environmental impacts of its packaging by reducing size and encouraging recycling.
Aerosols, which are compressed, are expected to provide consumers with a sustainable product that lasts as long as the earlier one.
