Sonoco ThermoSafe, a unit of Sonoco, has announced the launch of the new Certis Silver Universal CRT (controlled room temperature) shipper series to protect pharmaceuticals, biologics, vaccines and other high-value products.
The new expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulated containers use PureTemp phase change materials that provide 15 to 25°C temperature control for up to four days.
Sonoco ThermoSafe vice president Russell Grissett said the new containers have been designed to fulfill the market need for emerging controlled room temperature shipping solutions.
"Increasing global regulations are requiring that the shipments of pharmaceuticals and other high-value biologics must uphold strict temperature control to comply with each product's labeled storage requirements," Grissett said.
Regardless of the season, the containers can hold a 14l payload for 72-hour duration and an 11l payload for 96-hour durations when packed with the same component configuration.
Sonoco ThermoSafe provides temperature assurance packaging for the safe transport of pharmaceuticals, biologics, vaccines and other temperature sensitive products.
