North American supplier of packaging, closures and related services, Berlin Packaging has acquired the United States Container Corporation (USCC) a distributor of industrial and rigid packaging, California.
USCC, founded in 1956, is a leading distributor of industrial containers in the western states. USCC serves a wide array of markets, including food, beverage, pharmaceutical, agricultural, paint and coating, chemicals, and personal care.
Through the acquisition, Berlin Packaging will have about 90 sales and warehouse locations in North America and is expected to contribute $800m to the annual revenue.
Berlin Packaging CEO and chairman Andrew T. Berlin remarked that the acquisition of USCC fits perfectly into their strategy and will yield great returns for customers, suppliers, and employees alike and also accelerate the customer's business growth by optimizing their packaging strategies.
Berlin Packaging's majority stakes are owned by Investcorp, an alternative investment management firm.
