Swift Fine Foods, a producer of chilled and frozen ready meals in the UK and Ireland, is set to increase production capacity at its facility in Castleblayney, Monaghan County, with an investment of more than €3m.
The project, which is being supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland, is expected to create 53 new jobs.
The expansion will allow the company to roll-out its product range internationally.
Swift Fine Foods is set to unveil a wide range of new products in the coming months, including new Italian and gourmet home bistro range with Torus packaging.
Minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation Richard Bruton said, "With this investment programme and new jobs announcement by Swift Fine Foods we are once again seeing a great example of the strength of Ireland's food industry."
"They are determined to grow their business, expand their export markets and create jobs for County Monaghan," Bruton added.
Enterprise Ireland Food Division manager Michael Cantwell said: "Enterprise Ireland is delighted to support this investment and looks forward to working with Swift Fine Foods as they embark on this ambitious expansion and grow and develop their international sales - sustaining and creating jobs in Ireland."
