Ontrack and Big W are recalling Truly Gifted Spice Rack 12 Bottle Spice Set in Australia as the peppercorn portion of the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
The product being recalled was sold in Big W stores in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria. It was produced in China, while the raw material was sourced from India.
FSANZ noted that the product bears a best before date of 30 November 2013.
The agency has asked consumers to not eat this product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers concerned about their health have been advised to seek medical advice.
