Foodservice packaging company Lyons Magnus has announced an investment of $5m in a bid to expand operations in northern Kentucky.
Initially, the company will purchase land to build a new facility for food processing, warehousing space and shipping, and add a new production line at its existing operation.
Lyons Magnus chairman and CEO Robert Smittcamp said the facility is a key asset as the location allows the company to serve 60% of the US population.
"We appreciate Kentucky's willingness to assist our expansion efforts, as well as the positive business climate that allows us to execute our strategic planning on a timely basis," Smittcamp said.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved the company for tax incentives up to $400,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program, in order to encourage the investment and job growth in northern Kentucky.
