Longjing Tea is one of China's best teas and is one reason for Hangzhou's international fame. Xi Hu Long Jing has more than a thousand years of recorded history and was mentioned in the _ rst ever tea book (Cha Jing) by Lu Yu during the Tang Dynasty.
Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province. It has been one of the most renowned and prosperous cities of China for much of the last 1,000 years, due in part to its beautiful natural scenery, with the West Lake as its most wellknown location.
The West Lake came from a shallow bay in ancient time where Qiantang River ran into the sea. Among 60 cultural relic sites of state, the most classic is the Ten Scenes and the New Ten Scenes at the West Lake.
The Mausoleum of General Yue Fei is located at the southern foot of Qixia Hill near the West Lake. Yue Fei was a famous patriot and military general. Since his death, Yue Fei has evolved into the standard model of loyalty in Chinese culture.
