With its beautiful sceneries and cool and refreshing weather, the Emei Scenic Area (in southwest China’s Sichuan province) is a popular place to escape the heat of summer. A poem by famed Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai says "There are many mountains in Sichuan, but all are less magnificent than Emei Mountain."
Every hour between 7:30 and 20:30, there is a high speed train to Emei Station from Chengdu East Station. Emei Scenic Area is one and a half hours away from Chengdu.
Emei Mountain has about twenty attractions including the Golden Summit, the Elephant Pool, Godly House, and Luo Peak. Emei Mountain's valleys, lakes, cliffs, and waterfalls are beautiful destinations in a refreshingly cool environment.
