2022 World Cup Will Not Take Place in Quatar Due The Extreme Heat

FFA executive committee member theo zwanziger said the 2022 world cup will not take place in quatar due the extreme heat in the Middle Eastern country. It was not clear if he was ruling out the location or the dates. Other FIFA officials have confirmed talks about changing the dates but still staying in Qatar by shifting to a European winter date of Jan.- Feb. 2022 or Nov.-Dec. 2022, instead of the tradational June-July time timeframe.

Zwanziger's prediction of calendar shit for the 2022 world cup, which was awarded in 2010and has faced allegations of corruption since, is reportedly not shared by all other members of FIFA's Executive Committee. Also, some global soccer leagues are against a date for the World Cup, contending such a move would severely hamper their local schedules
