Museum of Glass of Qinhuangdao held a grand opening ceremony recently.As the first state-owned thematic museum,it covers an area of 11.25 mu with overall floorage of 2822 square meters.The museum is composed of four parts including exhibition area,enjoy site,service zone and office area.Composed by"Ancient glass and development","Cradle of China glass industry","Chinese contemporary glass industry"and"Bright magic glass world",the exhibition area fully show the development,production process and art of the glass.
Qinhuangdao Glass Museum is not only a display platform for glass culture and crafts,a window for people to get knowledge of glass industry,it is also a business card to bear culture essence and shape the image of the city.The museum will be open to the public for free and regularly carry out service activities,give full play to function of public service and universal knowledge.Qinhuangdao aims to create the glass museum into a presentation window of culture,science popularization base,patriotism education base and a famous scenery spot.
