The Pink Jalk designer chair project is challenging twenty top designers to bring out all the glamour that one chair design can handle.This year marks the third annual Pink Project to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation,courtesy of Suite,contemporary furniture showroom located in New York's"NoMad"district.

Twenty international architects and design icons have been working hard to give new life to a modern chair icon.The GJ Chair or(Grete Jalk Chair)was designed by Lange Production in 1963.Regarded today as a design inspiration that works well with a variety of design concepts,including:
Teak lacquered in a pink pattern Black chair"suspended"in a black metal cube with black rope and black grommets Lacquered in graphic black and white pattern,pale pink leather"corset"cording with grommets on back Oregon Pine with cut-out circular holes Oregon pine wrapped in jute twine,front upholstered in ivory cotton"puffs"and hanging leather straps with feathers

GJ Chair designed by David Rockwell/Rockwell Group–Pink LED strips are placed along the bottom of the chair to transform the color to a vibrant pink when lit.
Design by Deborah Berke&Partners Architects-GJ Chair in teak hand painted with the names of 52 women who were architectural pioneers,underside and back painted with a transparent layer of BCRF's signature pink.
