It’s reported that Taiwan’s import and export prices of small-diameter wire rods with diameters less than 14mm continued falling and hit the two-year low in last December.
According to data of the customs, Taiwan’s import prices of small-diameter wire rods averaged at NT$17,743/ton in last December, falling by NT$580/ton from a month ago.
Meanwhile, export prices of small-diameter wire rods were at around NT$21,737/ton, decreasing by NT$93/ton.
Industry sources indicated that the dropped export prices of small-diameter wire rods were caused by China Steel Corp. (CSC)’s substantial price cut for wire rod list prices.
