According to statistics, Taiwan' imports of large-diameter wire rods (with diameter larger or equal to 14mm) surged to 2,135 tons in September, jumping by 194.4% from August. However, the average import prices decreased by NT$1,367/ton from August to NT$19,830/ton. Industry sources said that the surged import prices of large-diameter wire rods was driven by slumped import prices. Meanwhile, Taiwan's exports of large-diameter wire rods totaled 5,264 tons in September, rising by 20.4% from a month ago.
