Aleddra LED Lighting, a business unit of Lightel Technologies, Inc., today announced that its linear 4-ft LED T8 in 277V replacement tube is now listed with Lighting Design Lab (LDL) in Seattle for utility rebates.
Aleddra's double-ended LED tube with a patented Double Safety Switch (DSS) design has been one of the most popular LED T8 lamps for retrofit with existing fixtures. The 4-ft 110V version of the DSS tube has been listed with LDL since June 2012. With the addition of 4-ft 277V version, Aleddra's DSS tubes now cover the majority of commercial and industry retrofit needs of linear fluorescent lamps. The double-ended DSS tube is now branded as "EasiRetrofit" tube, to reflect the ease of its installation and the fact that its saves an installer 50-70% of labor time and cost for retrofit when compared to other LED T8's that require a more time-consuming re-wiring. The independent test report of 277V EasiRetrofit tube by iTL Labs came in at 96 LM/W, derived from 1700 LM at 17.7W, with CRI>80 ad Power Factor >.90.
"We are very excited with the addition of 4-ft 277V EasiRetrofit tube on the LDL list," said R.B. Evans, Aleddra National Sales Manager. "Our customers can now qualify for utilities rebate regardless of the input voltage of the linear LED lamps. The unique DSS design is UL1598C classified, providing protection for installer. It is still the only UL1598C classified double-ended LED T8 on the market."
You can find the following part numbers on the Lighting Design lab LED T8 list:
LLT-4-T8-C-S-W-120-110V-41-41K
LLT-4-T8-C-S-W-120-277V-41K-D-3
"More and more educated customers and lighting contractors appreciate the value of the EasiRetrofit tube once they realized that they don't have to worry which of their linear fluorescent fixtures have shunted or non-shunted tombstones. The lamp will work with both types of lamp holders. The installation of EasiRetrofit tube requires only bypassing the ballast, making it a snap. The growing acceptance of the LDL qualified LED products list by utility companies in Northwest, California, Midwest, and East Coast have given contractors and building owners more options for their lighting needs. The Interest is especially strong with OEM buyers in the linear fixture manufacturers for they recognized immediately adding LED T8 to their existing fixture is a win-win strategy for them and their customers. Aleddra’s expanding sales and distribution network are ready to service any needs in the US, and international market partners."
Aleddra EasiRetrofit tubes with DSS design are available in 2-ft, 3-ft, 4-ft and 5-ft lengths, and in Kelvin temperatures of 3000K, 4100K, 5000K, and 6000K, available in 110V or 277V.
