China's PPI Decreased by 1.3 Percent Year on Year and Was up 0.2 Percent Month on Month

In September of the current year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 1.3 percent year on year and was up 0.2 percent month on month, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 14. Meanwhile, in September Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were down 1.6 percent year on year and were up 0.2 percent month on month.

In the January-September period, China's PPI was down 2.1 percent and Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were down 2.2 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

In addition, in September this year, China Consumer Price Index (CPI) was up 3.1 percent year on year and increased by 0.8 percent month on month.
