According to data, Taiwan imported around 16,233 tons of wire rods in June, slumping by 35.5% from a month ago. Among them, 15,520 tons were wire rods with diameters less than 14mm, falling by 36.6%; 713 tons were wire rods with diameters equal or larger than 14mm, up by 4.5%, both compared to the figures in May. Meanwhile, the country's import prices of wire rods averaged at NT$19,860/ton in June, decreasing by NT$454/ton from a month ago. Besides, Taiwan's exports of wire rods totaled 17,513 tons in June, down by 8% month on month. The average export prices were at NT$22,765/ton, rising by NT$217/ton month on month.
