Finnforest Deutschland is set to stop marketing OSB in Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the end of 2011. Its wood-based panels business will thus focus on laminated veneer lumber and plywood manufactured within the group as well as refined products made out of Kerto and plywood. The company said that it had decided to take this step due to minimal distribution synergies and more complex logistics after its logistics and service centre moved from Bremen to Lübeck in January 2009.
