A few DIY stores have scaled back their OSB promotions in February and March after advertising this product more at relatively low prices for a short time in January. At the same time, DIY stores raised their promotional prices compared with January, which are now on average €25-30/m3 higher in March than they were in January. OSB prices have also increased slightly on the purchasing side in recent weeks. At the same time, a number of OSB producers raised their prices for both specialist merchants and DIY stores.In March, several DIY store chains even removed OSB from their promotions, which are mainly geared towards gardening, altogether. For example, Praktiker, OBI and Toom Baumarkt no longer list any OSB in their latest promotions.
